Super Fantastic Room 4

Before some of our fabulous children transitioned into Year One, Room 4 had a go at making their very own movie trailer.  We are pretty proud of our efforts and hope that you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!

The Zoo

This week we have been reading a non-fiction big book called 'The Zoo', written by Christine Young. Today we chose our favourite animal from the story and drew a picture of it. Then we used the pictures to do our own reading of the story. Here we are reading 'The Zoo'.

Fotobabble

Yesterday Mya and Divit had a chance to use Fotobabble on the iPad.  They had to take a photo of their work and then record their message.  They were very clever and learnt quickly!  Everyone in Room 4 cannot wait to have a turn.

Room 4 has been lucky enough to receive our very own iPad.  We spent some time last week getting our heads around all the amazing things that we can do with it and on Friday we were hands on!  
Here are some photo's of the children playing memory games in groups.  This is a really fantastic application as it helps to develop the children's memory spaces and more memory equals more space to hold all the information pouring in throughout the day!

Mufti Dayl

Tomorrow (Friday 11th May) Pinehill School will be holding a mufti day to raise money for Salamabarasan, Pinehill's sponsor child.  Your child is encouraged to bring a gold coin donation and wear their home clothes for the day!

Over the school holidays a few children left Room 4 to join Year One and a few new children arrived, ready to start in Transition!
