Greedy Cat !!


This week Room 4 ready the big book, Greedy Cat's Door. We really enjoyed this book, we learnt about the punctuation and why some of the words get bigger and bigger. We also learnt to read the book along with Miss Wilson. 



Today we created our own Greedy Cat's, we had lots of fun. 

Also this week we have learnt about the letters Vv and Ww, the shapes used to write them and the sounds they make. 

On Tuesday we ran in the cross country and had a great time running in the mud !! The on Thursday we went and watched some of the bigger children competing in their cross country. We cheered them on and encouraged them to keep running.

It's time to say good bye to some amazing people.

The end of this week will see some of the amazing and clever children in Room 4 moving on to Room 21. I am looking forward to hearing about the progress and new adventures, Mya, Sirinya, Nate, Harry, Yisen, Divit and Ryan have over the rest of the coming year with Miss Joblin !

This week we have been reading the big book, Number 10 Tawai Cresent. We have been talking about our address and where we live. I have been also helping the children to learn and remember this. If your address has changed since you enrolled your child can you please let me know. Thanks.

This week we have been learning the sound and shape of the letters Ff and Pp, the children had a great time making some fish and popcorn bubbles.

Thank you to the children and parents who took part in the school marathon is was great to see even the newest people to school joining in, well done, I am proud of you.

We have been busy in Room 4 this week..

We looked at the letter Yy and Jj, we learnt the sounds they make and how to write them using the casey caterpillar shapes.





We have also been practicing how to write our name using the correct formation and making our letters sit on the branch.

Next week we will be practicing for the Cross Country in Week 6, please encourage your child to practice running at home, the course is about one and a half rugby fields in length. :)
